Don't forget to tell the women in your life you are grateful for them today The gifts and kind words I recieve so far really made my day x thank you all ❤ Through kindness and empathy we can dismantle the patriarchy, end violence against women, and r**** culture. A lot of men ask me what the first thing they can do is to be a better ally to women and I have 3 main points. 1. Stop using the word pussy as an insult and stop allowing your bros to get away with using it as an insult. I think it is so vile that you would dare use the word pussy in a negative concentration to describe weakness after you were pushed out into existence by one. It's a word men weaponize against eachother to make you feel less then a man, more of a woman, and therefor -worth less. The cycle ends with you. 2. Don't laugh at other men's jokes when you don't want to. That locker room talk leads to real violence. Be uncomfortable when ur friends make jokes about SA and make them uncomfortable, they need to know it's wrong. And by being complicit in private you are condoning that behaviour that they take into the world. 3. Have feelings. The patriarchy has taught you to be a man you are not allowed to feel and that is just not true. You are human, you feel, you love, and you need to be kind to you. Toxic masculinity hurts everyone and I am heartbroken by what it does to men. You have a safe place here ❤
