The “I’ve been naughty” bit has gotten a bit tired, wouldn’t you agree?
For too long, these words have served as our sole means of defiance, our only means of expressing our indignation for the demands of your transactional meritocracy.
We’ve watched as our friends and loved ones have struggled to comply with your vague and increasingly unattainable demands. We’ve looked over our shoulders, allowing your agents into our homes to watch us from our shelves. We’ve witnessed the mass persecution of comrades crushed under the boot of your “Naughty List”. For too long the McCarthyism and paranoia of your empire has gone unchallenged.
This year will be different.
This Christmas, I stand in defiance alongside the naughty boys and girls of many nations. Santa, I am but one of many who believe that together we have the power to force you from your icy compound and end the reign of your surveillance state.
Santa, I’ve been naughty. I will be naughty. This Christmas, the naughty among us will rise!

ok, so i know that this isn't exactly what a lot of yall come to my profile for, *but* i wanted to share something that just happened and it's a really big deal in my world... i just signed paperwork for my first real deal, final & accepted, PAID writing piece and I'm really, really proud of myself. 😭 it's not my first in-print piece, but it is the first time i've been paid for my work and i'm crying a little rn.
i can't wait til i can share it with you!
