Why am I only squatting with 10lb each side? Well, if I’m honest my squat form needs a lot of work. I have an anterior pelvic tilt, lower back problems, and tight muscles. So I lowered the weight, dropped my ego, and will be working on form for a while. Notice my little butt wink at the bottom. Gotta fix it. But it rocked my legs to go lower. Peep the quads shaking with my extensions.

When doing a cut (especially if you have been lifting for a while), you can’t really expect to gain muscle. So the goal aside from fat loss becomes muscle retention. You do this through the weights you use abs making sure to get adequate protein. Protein will also help to keep you more satiated as your calorie intake decreases. So far, so good on maintaining muscle mass. Dropping calories again next week.
